December Daily 2010 | Days Thirteen and Fourteen

DAY THIRTEEN

My holiday album wouldn't be the same without highlighting my love of coffee somewhere in there.  Today's page is all about that, and sharing a neat little story about my trip to Starbucks this morning.
For the front of page one I added some text in Photoshop to a picture I'd taken earlier in the month, then added it onto layers of patterned papers from Making Memories Noel collection.  I thought I'd try something a little extra this time and added some embossed snowflakes to the green polka dot paper.  I really like the results.  For the title I used some letter stickers from Making Memories Scrapbook Basics Holiday collection.

JOURNALING: One of my favorite things to enjoy each winter is a warm latte from Starbucks. They always seem to add a coziness to cold afternoons and a bit of calm to the business that comes with the season. Today in the drive thru at our local SB I got a nice surprise: the person in front of me paid for my order. What a great surprise that was! I decided to pay it forward and do the same for the fellow behind me. I love that random acts of kindness are still out there!

Here's a few close up photos.  I can't help but love these stickers-- total bling:

And here's a close up of just the photo, taken with the flash off on my camera, with the text added:

For the back of today's page I printed out a couple pictures that I'd taken with my iPhone while I was waiting in line at the drive thru, matted them onto the same collection of papers, and added some embellishments using the sleeve from my cup, as well as the snowflake sticker from Jolee's boutique (love) and some other great felt snowflakes from Little Yellow Bicylce.  The felt holly leaves are from the Anna Griffin Calisto Christmas collection, and of course I inked everything with my Tim Holtz Distress ink in Tea Dye.  I really like how it turned out:

Here's a few close up shots of the back page.  Loving the mix of textures here!

DAY FOURTEEN

One of the things I've loved about this album is how each day's story unfolds into my book.  I wasn't sure how that would work with my foundation already done, but so far it's worked out fairly well.  Today was an example of that.  I wasn't really sure what I wanted to do with this page, but it turns out we spent the afternoon wrapping Christmas presents while the kids were at school, so I took a photo of those and plan to include it inside.  It was just by chance, but today's page actually happens to look like a little gift.  I thought that was perfect:

And here's a picture of what the inside looks like, without the photo yet.  I will add it probably later today and update my post when I do:
