December Daily 2010 | Day Seven

Well, we are seven days in and already my album is getting full.  Blame that on my penchant towards adding little things with dimension here and there to my pages.  So far this project is so much fun!  I am loving how I step into each day with this kind of expectation of what story I want to share.

For Tuesday I shared a few photos from my day at home. Since I don't have a ton of time I'm trying to keep my pages as simple as possible, not a ton of creative embellishing going on here. I added an overlay of Ali Edwards' Remember Word Art to the photo in Photoshop.  Here's a picture of it as it looked printed out:

After that I cropped it a bit to fit my page and matted it on the Bazzill Basics French Vanilla cardstock I've been using for this project, and inked the edges with my Tim Holtz Distress Ink.  Still love those.  Then I added an image from Ali's new Holiday Word Art Vol. 02 to the bottom right.  I ended up recoloring it in Photoshop (with Matt's help).  He has really helped me 'get' using my Photoshop software.  I love him. : )  I printed out my journaling in Word using the Arabic Typesetting font and included that under the photo.

Here's the after picture of the front of Day Seven:

JOURNALING:  Today I spent the day at home with Maggie while Matt went to work and the kids all went to school. A very ordinary weekday right now. Matt came home for a bit to play with Maggie while I got ready for my day (in the afternoon), and when I came out I found them like this. I love how wonderful of a father he is to our children and how Maggie loves him just as much in return. This is my family.

And here's a picture of the back:

This is a photo of the wreath on my front door this year, which I love.  Michael's people, I'm tellin' ya!  It's where the deals are at! I edited the photo in Photoshop to add some text and one of Ali's Holiday Phrases Hand Drawn Brushes, then printed it out and matted it.  Here's what it looked like before:

After printing I decided I wanted to have the journaling on the front to be in cardstock instead, so I added it to the front using adhesives foam circles (Michael's version of Pop Dots).  Here's a close up of the after for the back of Day Seven:
